Key Responsibilities / Duties

Service Companies:

  • Responsible for all accounting related issues for service companies
  • General overview of company throughout the month
  • Salaries, intergroup charges and up to date records
  • VAT returns and PAYE enquiries
  • Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation
  • Monthly reconciliation
  • Intergroup Charges
  • Generate monthly funding report and ensuring funding processed on time
  • Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation

Operating/Holding Company:

  • Responsible for all accounting related issues for operating companies
  • General overview of company throughout the month
  • Salaries, intergroup charges and up to date records
  • VAT returns and PAYE enquiries
  • Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation
  • Weekly Cash Flow Forecasting

Direct Costs:

  • Betting Duty. Process and generate quarterly betting fee returns for Government of Gibraltar
  • License Fees. Preparation of reports from extraction of source data through to final calculations and approvals/payment process
  • Jackpots: Accruals, funding and reconciliations
  • Calculation of all brand fee calculations across the group, including extraction of source data to final copies being distributed
  • Processing and payment of relevant invoices; responsible for queries

Balance Sheet:

  • Client Balance Reporting. Daily preparation of player balances from source data
  • Monthly: Ensure that all intercompany balances between group companies agree
  • Following up and driving that individuals follow up on ensuring entries are processed as required
  • Maintain monthly record of fixed assets
  • Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of information for annual audit

Other:

  • Assist with month end processing
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation of balance sheet
  • Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of information for annual audit
  • Assist with system implementation projects as required
  • Contribute ideas for process and efficiency improvements
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as specified by the Group Financial Controller

Person Specification, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a bright, intelligent and talented finance professional with a desire to develop finance skills within a dynamic and growing environment.

Completed accounting qualifications are not essential and BetVictor will provide financial support towards further studies. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate management accounting experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Accounting experience, including AP and bank reconciliation
  • Experience of using accounting packages
  • Strong MS Office skills in Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of UK/Malta VAT Rules would be an advantage
