Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Management Accounting / Financial Control

  • Ensuring accurate and reconciled Trial Balances for each legal entity on a monthly basis and annually for audit. Review of all journal entries in the accounting system.
  • P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting for each company with commentary to relevant stakeholders. Ensuring appropriate variance analysis and commentary on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing all internal financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for direct cost, management accounts and ad hoc reports

Financial Reporting, Systems and Controls

  • Maintenance of Chart of Accounts, Mapping/Reporting tables for the Accounting system legal entity and consolidation databases
  • Ownership and updating allocation keys used for allocation and splitting of invoices and contracts to different legal entities and brands, aligning these for both for reporting and transfer pricing purposes. Ensuring the allocation keys are maintained and updated for a new ERP solution
  • Improve the consistency of reporting and include multiple validation checks across the team
  • Writing up Standard Operating Procedures for key activities across the team
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, drive systems integrations and implementation of projects
  • Driving the rollout of a new ERP solution across the group
  • Responsible for reviewing VAT and betting taxes calculations, returns and queries.
  • Assisting the Finance Director and Financial Manager External reporting to ensure that all intercompany and intergroup billing complies with the Group’s Transfer Pricing policies


  • Direct and supervise the management accounts and financial control teams
  • Provide coaching to improve quality and efficiency in delivery of responsibilities

Person Specification, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Commercially astute, articulate and technically strong
  • High integrity and openness with commitment to good governance
  • A proactive approach: you should be motivated to take the initiative to make improvements
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible financial experience is required. A minimum of 2 years of group financial management experience
  • Communication skills necessary to provide effective presentation of ideas, plans and processes to other departments and senior management
  • Proven management skills and the ability to lead and develop finance teams
  • Readiness to proactively drive and deliver high impact results through both individual and team efforts. Strong organisational skills, with ability to self-motivate and successfully work on multiple projects
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong understanding of financial principles
  • Previous experience of accounting software, preferably an ERP solution (Workday)
  • Ability to work to tight timelines.
  • Previous experience within the online gaming industry is preferable, but not required.
