Club Brugge v Manchester City
Man City to win 3-0
This is a big game for City after losing in Paris in their last game.
I thought they played very well for large parts of that game though and I’m confident they’ll leave Belgium with all three points here. I’m going with 3-0 Man City.
Atletico Madrid v Liverpool
Match to be drawn 1-1
This won’t be an easy one for Liverpool that’s for sure.
Simeone’s side remain as difficult to beat as ever and knocked Liverpool out two seasons ago. The Reds are playing well though and in Mo Salah, they’ve maybe got the best player in the world right now.
I don’t think Liverpool will win this, but I can’t see them losing either. I’m going for a 1-1 draw.
Manchester United v Atalanta
Man Utd to win 2-1
This feels like a season-defining game for United.
Their form hasn’t been great and after that defeat to Leicester at the weekend, the pressure is massively on Solskjaer here.
I’m expecting a brilliant atmosphere at Old Trafford and think Atalanta might struggle to deal with it. I don’t think it will be emphatic, but I think United will win 2-1.
Chelsea v Malmo
Chelsea to win 2-0
After losing to Juventus in their last group game, Chelsea will be wanting a straightforward win here. Malmo are yet to claim a point or score a goal and I can’t see that changing here. I fancy a 2-0 win for Thomas Tuchel’s Blues.
