Nick Pope
First up this week, Nick Pope. He’s been a brilliant piece of business for Newcastle and a big part of the best defence in the country. That save in the second half was unbelievable! There’s not many better than him.
Rico Lewis
This lad looks a fantastic prospect. He’s so versatile and the best compliment I can give him is that it looks like he’s been in this side for years. Pep’s given him a chance in these last few games and boy has he taken it.
Thiago Silva
I feel like I put this guy in my side most weeks, but what a player he is. That was another brilliant performance from him, he reads the game so well. There was a few times in that second half where his 1v1 defending against the likes of Nunez was fantastic.
Chris Richards
He signed for Palace last summer and it’s taken him a while to get in this side, but he’s been playing very well recently. He was brilliant against Man United during the week and had another great game against Newcastle. He made blocks, put tackles in, he looks like a very good player.
Max Wober
He’s just joined the club, but he’s already making an impact. I thought he was superb against Brentford. He was strong in the tackle and looked very composed on the ball. He looks like a very good bit of business for Leeds.
Douglas Luiz
I think this lad goes under the radar at times, but he’s a very good midfield player. He’s so composed on the ball and very rarely gives it away. Villa’s form since Emery has come in has been very good, he’s been at the heart of it.
Kaoru Mitoma
Brighton’s recruitment is fantastic, and it looks like they’ve done it again with this lad. We’ve seen glimpses of him all season, but he’s been brilliant these last few weeks. He’s got lovely feet and a real eye for goal too, that was a brilliant strike against Leicester. I love watching him play and I’m excited to see him in the coming weeks.
Jarrod Bowen
I’m a big fan of Bowen, that was a brilliant performance from him at the weekend. That was a huge game for West Ham, and he delivered for his side. He’s had a quieter season this year, but I think he’ll kick on now in the next few weeks.
Marcus Rashford
There’s not many players in the league in better form than Rashford. He looks full of confidence and boy did he take his goal well at the weekend. It’s great to watch him in this sort of form, he’s developing into the player we all thought he could be.
Erling Haaland
Another hat-trick at the weekend for the goal machine. By his standards, he’s been quiet in recent weeks, but he certainly looked back to his best here. His movement is almost unstoppable and his desire to score is what separates him from the rest. We could be looking at a record-breaking season from him.
Eddie Nketiah
A lot of people worried about Arsenal after Jesus got injured but Nketiah has come in and more than delivered. The lad deserves loads of credit and I liked what I saw from him yesterday. His movement in the box was fantastic and he made both finishes look easy. The second especially, that’s a sign of a natural finisher.
