David De Gea

First up this week, I’m going with David De Gea in goal. He’s been a brilliant keeper for so many years now and he remains crucial to United. Leeds had a few chances in the game, but they never looked like beating him. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better keeper at saving shots with his feet, he does it all the time!

Joel Veltman

Joel Veltman is developing into a key player for Brighton, and he makes my team. This lad can play in the middle or at full-back, that’s a sign of a very good player. He was at right-back against Palace and he dealt with what came his way very well. Brighton have a well-organised defence, and Veltman is at the heart of it.

Ben Mee

I’ve always liked Ben Mee. I thought he did a great job at Burnley for years, and he’s doing the same for Brentford. He reads the game very well and although he’s not the biggest, he’s got a great leap on him. He seems a good lad as well and getting him on a free signing has been a brilliant bit of business.

Craig Dawson

Speaking of good business, Craig Dawson looks a great move for Wolves. He’s not the youngest but where Wolves are in the table, they need proven Premier League experience, and Dawson has bundles of it. He’s always a threat at set pieces, and he’s already got a goal for the club.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw has impressed me a lot of late. He’s really shown his versatility, filling in at centre-half, I didn’t think he would be capable of that. He played left-back and centre-back against Leeds and was excellent in both. It’s never easy shifting positions during a game, he deserves a lot of credit.

Harvey Barnes

I’m delighted to see Harvey Barnes back in form. It took a while for him to get going this season, but we all know what a good player he is. He gave Spurs new signing Porro a torrid time, and when he’s in this form, there’s not many better wide men. He got one goal chalked off by VAR but that wasn’t going to stop him. He’s quick, direct and a good finisher, hopefully he can keep this up.

James Maddison

I seem to put James Maddison in my side most weeks, but I can’t leave him out! There’s not many players in the league in better form and each week he’s delivering for his side with goals, assists and chances. It’s not been a great year for Leicester, but James deserves a lot of credit for these performances, and it looks like Leicester have turned a corner.

Enzo Fernandez

There’s a lot of pressure on Enzo Fernandez, but he’s started well for Chelsea. The lad can’t help his price-tag, he can only go out there and do the business on his pitch. I thought he was excellent against West Ham and that was a brilliant assist for Felix’s goal. Keep this form up and he could be a great signing for Graham Potter.

Willian

I’ve got to say, I can’t believe how good Willian still is. He didn’t do much at Arsenal, so I wasn’t expecting much from him this year, but he’s been a masterstroke of a signing from Marco Silva. He’s always been a quality player and it looks like they’ve got him fit and back to his best. That was a typical Willian goal at the weekend, shifting the ball out his feet quickly and slotting it in, top class!

Ivan Toney

I don’t think Ivan Toney gets the credit he deserves. He’s a proper number nine, and such a handful. His record over the last couple of years is as good as anyone and he has a habit of scoring against the top six as well. I love watching him play, and he’s so crucial to Brentford’s success of late.

Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho has been in the starting line-up in the last couple of weeks and he’s certainly delivered for his manager. He got a goal and assist at the weekend, and he took his goal well. He’s always been a good, natural finisher and if he keep this form up, he’ll remain in the side. Leicester were brilliant at the weekend, and he was a big reason why. He’s got to be my star man this weekend!
