I’ve been picking Emi Martinez a lot recently, but no wonder in this form! Villa are flying and this lad is as big a reason as any. He was fantastic against Chelsea. He made some great saves, he was vocal and organised his defence, he’s a top keeper.

Kieran Trippier has been superb all season and was brilliant yesterday against United! I thought Newcastle were outstanding and Kieran was a threat all game down the right. He’s been such a good signing for Eddie Howe, his quality on the ball is terrific. There’s not many better than Kieran.

Nayef Aguerd has been a great bit of business for West Ham. This lad seems to get better each week, he’s developing into a very good centre-half. He’s strong, dominant in the air and got a great turn of pace on him. I’m looking forward to seeing more of him.

Tyrone Mings has been terrific recently. He’s always been a big presence in this Villa side, but his game seems to have gone up a level under Emery. Villa’s defensive record is brilliant, and I can see Tyrone playing himself back into the England squad in this form.

Dan Burn has had a brilliant season, I’m delighted for the lad. For a local lad to find his way back to the club is a great story and he’s become a key player. He must be the tallest left-back in history! He’s not the quickest but you don’t see many getting the better of him.

I’ve got to say, I’m delighted for Jack Grealish, he’s playing brilliantly! He was as good as anyone against Liverpool, scoring one and creating another. It’s taken some time for Jack to settle at City, but he looks at home now and I can tell Pep trusts him a lot more now. I’m excited to see more from Jack, I think his game can still go up another level. This was probably his best performance in a sky blue shirt, and that makes him this week’s star man.

There’s not many better midfielders in the country better than Bruno Guimaraes. To be honest, I don’t see any weaknesses in his game, he’s got a bit of everything about him. He’s so composed on the ball and very rarely gives it away. He seems a good lad too, and the fans have really taken to him. They’ll be hoping they can keep him for a few years.

John Stones must make the team this week, in midfield! We all know how composed John is on the ball, but I didn’t think he could play as well as he did in the middle of the park. Fair play to the lad for showing his versatility and to Pep for trusting him in that position. At times I don’t think people realise how good a player John is, I don’t see many better than him.

That was a massive win for Palace and Eberechi Eze was right at the heart of it. I’ve always liked this lad, but he’s had a difficult season. It was Roy who first signed him for Palace though, and I can see him getting right back to his best now. He’s got great quality on the ball and like all the top players, he always looks like he’s got time on the ball.

Gabriel Jesus was outstanding against Leeds, what a return. He’s been one of the signings of the season and is such a dangerous player. His work-rate is fantastic and he’s always positive, always looking to cause problems. With him back from injury and in this form, Arsenal will take some stopping.

Who needs Erling Haaland? Julian Alvarez was brilliant against Liverpool and did a great job filling in for the Norwegian. He won’t score as many as Haaland, no one does, but his work-rate and energy is second to none. We saw at the World Cup how effective he is, and I can imagine that all his teammates love playing with him. He plays with so much enthusiasm, it’s bound to rub off on some of his teammates. City will want Haaland back soon, but Alvarez is a brilliant option in the meantime.
