In goal, I’m picking Sam Johnstone. Sam’s always been a talented keeper, but he’s had to wait for his chance at Palace. He’s been in the side in recent weeks though and has done a great job. I thought he was excellent against Everton and pulled off a couple of good saves.

Timothy Castagne makes my side this week. What a massive win that was for Leicester and Castagne was excellent at the back. They looked more organised, and he made plenty of blocks, plenty of tackles. He got on the scoresheet too, what a lovely finish that was.

I’m picking another Leicester player, Caglar Soyuncu, he was fantastic. He’s inconsistent, but when this lad is on it, he’s a very good centre-half. Against Wolves, he was so strong, so aggressive and dominated his duel with Diego Costa. He was probably the best player on the park.

A player I’ve always liked, Tosin Adarabioyo. This lad has everything you’d want in a modern centre-half, I think he’s one of the most underrated in the league. He was top class against Leeds. He made a couple of huge blocks with the score at 0-0 and he was so composed all game.

I fancy Liverpool to end the season well, and that’s because the likes of Andy Robertson are in good form. We all know what a top player Andy is, but it’s been a difficult year for him and the club. Against Forest, he was defensively strong and was full of energy, constantly playing on the front foot.

Jacob Murphy is a must, what a game for the lad! For the first goal, he was so sharp and reacted far quicker than any Spurs defender. The second, what a strike that was! It was a fantastic performance and I’m delighted for him.

Lucas Paqueta has been a class act for West Ham recently. West Ham are playing their best football of the season right now and the pairing of him and Rice in the midfield is a big reason why. It’s taken a while for the lad to properly settle but he’s looking like a fantastic footballer. That header against Bournemouth was brilliant, he showed so much desire.

Carlos Alcaraz was everywhere in that first half against Arsenal! He took his goal very well, played a lovely pass for Theo Walcott’s goal and even cleared one of the line. This lad has caught my eye since he signed in January, he looks like a top player and I love his attitude and desire. I cannot believe he got taken off at half-time, what a strange decision.

That pass alone means that Joe Willock must be in the side! What a ball that was to Isak, to have the technique to play that pass with the outside of his foot, top class. That could be the pass of the season! He’s having a great year and he probably goes under the radar. Joe has a brilliant turn of pace; he’s got quick feet and he’s a very natural finisher in front of goal. He’s got to be in Gareth Southgate’s thoughts!

Diogo Jota
was brilliant at the weekend, he was so lively all game. His touch and finish for the second goal was typical of him, what a lovely goal. When he’s playing like this, he’s so hard to stop. What I like about him is how two-footed he is, it makes him so hard for defenders to play against.

Alexander Isak has to be my star man this week. The first 20 minutes at St James’ were unbelievable, I couldn’t believe what I was watching! Isak was the best player on the park and took his two goals so well. Everything this lad does is classy, and he never looks flustered in front of goal. He’s having an excellent debut season for Newcastle, and I love watching him play.
