PSG V Real Madrid
PSG to win 2-1
This should be a thriller. With all the attacking talent that’s on show, we will see goals. PSG probably haven’t been at their best this season, but they’ve got so much quality. I fancy them here. I’m predicting a 2-1 PSG win, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Messi scored yet again against Real!
Sporting Lisbon v Manchester City
Man City to win 0-2
Away trips in the Champions League are never easy, but this should be straightforward for City. Sporting are a decent side, but this is as good a draw as they could have got. I’m sure Sporting will keep it tight early on, but City will have too much quality for them. 2-0 City.
Red Bull Salzburg v Bayern Munich
Bayern to win 1-2
Bayern have been in strange form this season. They’ve looked brilliant at times, as good as anybody in Europe, but they also lose some bizarre games, like the 4-2 loss to Bochum at the weekend. Salzburg are a well-coached side, and I can see them scoring. I think Bayern will edge it though, 2-1.
Inter Milan v Liverpool
Liverpool to win 0-2
Going to the San Siro is never easy, but the fact Liverpool won here earlier in the season will help them. Inter have had a good season domestically but did lose both matches to Real Madrid in the Group Stages. I think they aren’t quite on Liverpool’s level and could struggle to deal with the Reds on the break. I can see a 2-0 Liverpool win.
