RB Leipzig v Atalanta
2-1 to RB Leipzig
This looks a good tie, two very even teams. Atalanta have done so well in recent seasons under Gasperini and knocking out Leverkusen in the last round was a brilliant result. This is another tough trip to Germany though, Leipzig are in good form. Leipzig are coming off a 4-1 win away to Dortmund and I’m picking them here, 2-1.
Eintracht Frankfurt v Barcelona
3-1 to Barcelona
I expected Xavi to transform Barcelona, but I didn’t think it would be this quick! They’ve been superb in recent weeks and obviously the performance in the 4-0 win against Real Madrid a few weeks ago was unbelievable. Aubameyang has been a brilliant signing for them, and Pedri looks like a superstar at the minute. I can only see a Barca win here, 2-1.
Sporting Braga v Rangers
2-1 to Braga
This is a huge game for Rangers’ season. After a disappointing defeat against Celtic at the weekend, the pressure is really on them. They’ve done well on their travels, but I worry about the morale now. Braga are a decent side and beat Benfica at the weekend. I think they’ll edge this 2-1.
West Ham v Lyon
1-0 to West Ham
This will be a great occasion for West Ham. The atmosphere and performance in the second leg against Sevilla was brilliant, and they’ll be looking for the same here. Lyon are a good side though; this won’t be easy. I’m leaning towards West Ham though; I think home advantage will the difference. 1-0!
Leicester v PSV
2-1 to Leicester
This is another even game. Leicester look like they are really trying to win this tournament and PSV are as hard as a side as they could have faced. PSV are only a few points behind a very good Ajax side in the league, so this won’t be easy. I think Leicester will get the win though, 2-1.
