Jack Butland

It was only his fourth start in four seasons, but I have to say, Jack Butland looked like he had been playing week in, week out on Friday night.

He made some excellent saves and topped it off with a huge penalty stop from Pascal Gross. More than enough to get his place in this week’s team.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

He just gets better! What a season the right-back is having, His assist record is incredible, and he added another against Brentford on Saturday.

That was topped off by a clean sheet as well. There won’t be many weeks where he doesn’t feature if he keeps playing like this.

Virgil van Dijk

Trent’s defensive partner, Virgil van Dijk was a colossus at the back for Liverpool. When the big fella is in that kind of form, you’re never going to get much change. He’s a top player, and that was a top performance.

Conor Coady

That was another terrific performance from Wolves. They’ve been excellent recently and have been really tough to break down. A lot of that is down to the stewardship of Conor Coady. He’s a great organiser and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line when needed.

João Cancelo

This guy is a Rolls Royce. He has it all along with that spark of magic you find in top players. I thought he had a great first half, and even though De Bruyne’s goal was a fantastic solo effort, he played his part with an assist.

Raphinha

That was more like it from Leeds. They’ve got a bit of a maestro on their hands in Raphinha. He’s got such a great touch and he reads the game so well. That ball for Harrison’s winner was sublime. Some of the stuff he does is straight out of the Brazilian playbook, I just love to watch him play.

Jacob Ramsey

What a game that was at Villa Park. Jacob Ramsey covered every blade of grass, and the finish for Villa’s first was top drawer. He’s really catching my eye, and I can see a big future ahead for the 20-year-old.

Fabinho

Suddenly he’s found his scoring boots! That’s three in as many games for the Brazilian. I think he’s reaching a high level these days, which is great to see after he was out for a few weeks.

Bruno Fernandes

Two goals for the Portuguese midfielder weren’t enough to get his side three points, but nevertheless, he put in some shift. There’s no doubt he was United’s biggest threat here, and fans will be hoping this is a sign that he’s returning to his best.

Jack Harrison (Star Man)

Jack Harrison is this week’s, Star Man. What an afternoon it was for him. It was just one of those days where everything he touched turned to gold. He’s always been a player with bags of potential, so let’s hope he keeps this sort of form going into the business end.

Adam Idah

What a result that was for Norwich. That was their first win since November, and for Adam Idah, his first Premier League goal. What a moment for the lad. He won’t forget it, and who knows, maybe he’s the man to get the Canaries out of trouble.
