Manchester City v Liverpool Preview

Manchester City host Liverpool in this week’s stand-out fixture in the top-flight and the Reds look too big at 31/10 to beat Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad; the hosts favourites and the draw .

The Reds boast a terrific record against top-six opposition and are unbeaten against City in their last four, winning three, and are likewise a shade too big at with BetVictor to avoid defeat in Manchester.

Nevertheless, City warrant respect as the 11/8 favourites for the Premier League Title and have been formidable on home soil under Pep Guardiola. City have lost just 1 of their last 23 PL games at the Etihad but have kept clean sheets in just 6 of those games and punters have been quick to back both teams to score, which is already into 2/5 from 1/2.

There’s a good chance he makes it six games on the spin, however, I expect Liverpool to come out on top and think they are a good price at to win and both teams to score. Saido Mané has scored in all the Reds’ opening PL games and is to net at City and to score in a Liverpool win.

Jurgen Klopp has well and truly stamped his mark on the side since joining the club just under two years ago and, with him at the helm, Liverpool have lost just one of their 22 Premier League matches against a team that finished in the top seven of the competition last season (W12 D9 L1). Liverpool are to avoid defeat at the Etihad and should shorten from their current price of 10/1 for the Premier League Title accordingly.
