BetVictor Brand Ambassador Michael Owen is here to give us his predictions ahead of this weekend’s upcoming Premier League action including his Pick 6 predictions.

Brighton v Liverpool

Liverpool to win 3-1

Brighton’s form really has dipped over the last month or so. They just aren’t scoring enough goals right now, after all only Burnley and Norwich have less all season. There’s no danger of this side going down, but Graham Potter will want to target finishing in the top 10.

Liverpool’s last couple of games haven’t seen them quite at their best. They got the win over West Ham but did concede a few chances in that game and on another day, could have drawn. The defeat to Inter on Tuesday was frustrating, mainly because they had more than enough chances to win that game.

Liverpool are due a game in which they score a few goals, they are creating plenty of chances. I think that will come here. 3-1 Liverpool.

Brentford v Burnley

1-1 Draw

5/1

This one is massive.  Brentford’s 3-1 win over Norwich last week was vital, I would have feared for them if they lost that. Getting Toney back has given this squad a big lift, and he took his three goals brilliantly. There are not many better penalty takers out there than him at the moment.

Burnley have done well to give themselves a chance of safety, as things weren’t looking good a month ago. Recent results haven’t been as good, so they’ll be desperate to get something here.

I can’t separate these two. Both will be desperate to not lose, every point matters at this stage of the season. I’m going to go for a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United v Tottenham

Manchester United to win 2-1

This is the start of a huge week for United, with the second leg against Atletico Madrid coming on Tuesday. The performance in the second half against City was nowhere near good enough, but there were some positives in the first. Jadon Sancho took his goal brilliantly and looks like he’s beginning to settle in this side.

Spurs are such a hard side to predict under Conte. I didn’t see that 5-0 win over Everton coming, but some of Spurs’ play was superb, even if Everton did make it easy for them. The one massive positive of late though, is Harry Kane’s form. He’s been brilliant, both in terms of scoring and creating chances. Kane is such a complete striker and it’s great to see him get back to his best.

Man United desperately need to win this. I can’t see much in this one, but I think United will edge it. 2-1.

Chelsea v Newcastle United

Chelsea to win 2-1

It’s clearly been a strange and difficult week for Chelsea off the pitch but on it, they took care of business against Norwich.  I really like the way Kai Havertz has been playing of late. He’s becoming the key man for this team in attack. He links the play, makes some great runs, and has started scoring regularly.

Things keep getting better for Newcastle. That win over Southampton was huge and leaves them on the verge of safety. Bruno Guimaraes arrived with a big reputation and price-tag, but he showed glimpses of it on Wednesday. He hasn’t featured too much, but that back-heeled finish was sublime!

Newcastle have shown so much improvement, and they’ll give Chelsea a game here. I still think Chelsea will have too much though, 2-1 to Chelsea.

Pick 6 Prediction – 2 or 3 goals in the game

Everton v Wolves

0-0 Draw

The next couple of games are absolutely vital for Everton’s season. The performance against Spurs was a disaster. They’ve had so many issues away from home this season, they’ve still got the worst away record in the league. They’ll be relieved to be back at Goodison. If Everton are to stay up, they’ll need every point they can get at Goodison.

Wolves strolled to the win over Norwich. It was one of their better performances and they could have won by more than four. Ruben Neves’ goal was brilliant, he only ever scores good goals.

I don’t think this will be a thriller. Everton are desperate to get a positive result and will make this a tight game. I’m going for a 0-0 draw.

Pick 6 Prediction – To end in a draw

Leeds United v Norwich

Leeds to win 1-0

7/1

Things aren’t looking good for Leeds. I had seen signs of life under Jesse Marsch, but that performance against Villa on Wednesday was alarming.  Morale in the dressing room can’t be good, they need a win soon.

Things look even more bleak at Norwich. They’re now five points off safety and it’s hard to see where the next win is going to come from. They’re the league’s lowest scorers, and Pukki has eight of their 17 goals.

I can’t see Leeds not winning here. This is the perfect fixture for them to get three points, I’m going for a 1-0 win.

Pick 6 Prediction – Under 3.5 goals in the game

Southampton v Watford

Southampton to win 2-0

Southampton were probably a little unlucky to lose against Newcastle on Wednesday. That’s now two defeats in a row, but given how good their form before that was, it’s not surprising.  They’ve got the FA Cup Quarter-Final next week, they’ll look to go into that with some momentum.

That defeat to Wolves on Wednesday was a disaster for Watford. Given Wolves weren’t in great form, to lose by four is worrying. Watford had been harder to beat in recent weeks, but that result will have been a blow to the confidence of this side.

I fancy Southampton here. They’ve been strong at home all season, 2-0.

Pick 6 Prediction – No to both teams scoring

West Ham v Aston Villa

1-1 Draw

West Ham’s last two defeats, to Liverpool and Sevilla, must have frustrated David Moyes. They were both 1-0 defeats, and they had chances in both games. I’ll be curious to see how they respond here.

Villa have found some form. Three wins in a row, nine goals scored, and none conceded. The star of the show has obviously been Coutinho. I expected him to play well for Villa, but I didn’t expect this much of an impact. Villa will be desperate to make this a permanent signing.

There’s really not much between these two. I’m going for a 1-1 draw.

Pick 6 Prediction – To end in a draw

Arsenal v Leicester City

Arsenal to win 2-0

7/1

Arsenal keep winning and look in firm control of that fourth placed position. Some of the football against Watford was superb, with the likes of Saka, Odegaard and Martinelli all playing well. Saka in particular has had a brilliant season and get’s better every time I watch him.

Leicester have won four in a row in all competitions and look to be building some momentum. They beat a decent Rennes side on Thursday, but this is obviously a step-up.

I can’t see Arsenal dropping points at the minute. Leicester might be a little tired from playing on Thursday, and I’m going for a 2-0 Arsenal win.

Pick 6 Prediction – 2 or 3 goals

Crystal Palace v Manchester City

Manchester City to win 3-1

I thought Palace played some really good football in that win over Wolves last week. There’s not many sides outside the top eight who have the attacking quality that this Palace side has, and they always look a threat.

United’s performance got a lot of the attention, but Man City were typically dominant in the derby. The second half in particular was typical City. They controlled the game and created chance after chance.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see Palace scoring here, but City are too strong right now. 3-1 Man City.
