Chelsea missed the opportunity to cement a top four place when held 2-2 against Burnley at Stamford Bridge tonight. The Pensioners ease to 10/11 from 4/6 to finish in the top four and can be backed at 4/5 to finish fifth or lower.
Tottenham shorten to 8/13 from 8/11 to be the top London club and hold a point advantage over their capital rivals. They host relegation threatened Brighton at their new stadium tomorrow and will expect to move further clear. Chelsea slip back to 3/1 having played a game more.
A late winner for Tottenham broke Brighton hearts tonight but gives the hosts a great chance of securing a top four finish this season. Spurs are 1/10 from 1/8 after moving four points clear of Arsenal who are currently fifth. They are 11/2 from 9/2 to miss out.
Spurs now have the race to be London’s top club firmly in their own grasp and are 2/7 from 1/3 to finish ahead of rivals Arsenal and Chelsea who are both 5/1.
Brighton remain three points clear of Cardiff in the race to avoid the final relegation spot. Albion ease to 1/7 from 1/8 to survive but shorten to 4/1 from 9/2 to be playing Championship football next term.
Leroy Sane came off the bench to inspire Manchester City to a crucial 2-0 win at Old Trafford this evening. The Citizens are now 1-4 from 4-6 for the title knowing they have just three games left to navigate before reclaiming their crown. Liverpool slip a point behind and drift to 11-4 from 11-10.
It’s been a terrific week for Tottenham who again saw top four rivals falter leaving them as short as 1-20 from 1-12 to secure their place in the four this season. With United slipping at home and Arsenal surprisingly beaten 3-1 at Wolves, Spurs now look assured of claiming their place but can be backed at 8/1 from 6/1 to miss out. The Gunners ease to 11/10 from 8/11 whilst Chelsea shorten to 4/5 from 5/4 with United 6/1 from 4/1.
Wolves enjoyed a tremendous evening at Molineux and a 3-1 win over Arsenal leaves them 6/4 favourites from 9/4 to finish highest in our market without the big six. Pre match market leaders Watford drift to 15/8 from 6/4 and the two meet at Vicarage Road this Saturday!
