Nicola’s busy start to the flat season continues with four mounts at Chepstow on Tuesday. We have her thoughts on each ride right here.
Honeydew
Chepstow (Tuesday, 17.00)
My night gets started with Honeydew for Sylvester Kirk in the Novice Auction Stakes. She is a sharp filly by Dandy Man and I rode her on debut at Lingfield earlier in the month where she displayed plenty of speed and just weakened towards the end of the race.
Hopefully, after another run – which was in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot – she will have come on again and be involved in this smaller field today.
Aquadabra
Chepstow (Tuesday, 17.30)
Next up is Aquadabra in the five-furlong handicap. He is a previous course and distance winner and ran well enough here last week when finishing fifth. Hopefully, he can be in the mix today in a similar race, at a track he seems to like.
Charlie's Jamboree
Chepstow (Tuesday, 18.00)
My third ride in the maiden for Jamie Osborne will be on Charlie’s Jamboree. This is just his second career start having run very green on debut at Wolverhampton. We hope he will have improved for that first start, and he switches to the turf for the first time too in this maiden over the six furlongs.
Wentworth Amigo
Chepstow (Tuesday, 20.00)
My final ride of the day will be on Wentworth Amigo, again for Jamie Osborne, in a seven-furlong handicap. He won on just his second career start over five furlongs at Sandown. Since then, he has lost his way a little.
Fingers crossed a return to the turf and going up in trip can help him get back to winning ways here at Chepstow.
