It is a real treat to head back to Ascot for the final day of Royal week. Whilst is is strange riding with no crowds, I am looking forward to being back at my favourite track.
Total Commitment
Ascot (Saturday, 12.40)
My first ride of the day is Total Commitment for Peter Hedger in the Silver Wokingham Handicap. She seems a very consistent filly. Her best form has come on quick ground but, with no more rain due at Ascot between now and then, I’m hoping it dries up for her and we can get some good luck in running.
Nurse Florence
Ascot (Saturday, 1.15)
I then have a ride for Jamie Osborne on Nurse Florence in the Queen Mary Stakes. She ran a lovely race first time out at Yarmouth doing her best but over the line. She’s a filly we like at home. We will just be keeping our fingers crossed the ground dries up for her also, as we think that would suit her best.
With Mekong now sadly a non-runner, it is just the two for me. I hope you all enjoy watching the Royal Ascot action at home.
