Cheltenham Festival16-19 March

It’s day 2 at the Cheltenham Festival as BetVictor Brand Ambassador, Rachael Blackmore takes aim with another terrific book of rides.

The opening day of The Festival didn’t disappoint as Rachael battled home tenaciously to guide star mare Honeysuckle to victory for Trainer Henry De Bromhead.

Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle (13.30)

I start the day on Easywork in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. He’s a great ride to pick up. Last day, he finished behind Asterion Forlonge over 2 miles and prior to that he’s won twice over hurdles. Although Envoi Allen will be hard to beat, this is his ideal trip for him and I’m really looking forward to it.

RSA Chase (14.10)

In the RSA, I partner Minella Indo. Obviously, he’s a very special horse to me having won the Albert Bartlett with him at Cheltenham last year.

We arrive here in good form having won his beginners chase at Navan. He jumps, stays and travels excellently which is essential when going round here. He’s very well and I absolutely wouldn’t swap him for anything else in the race.

Coral Cup (14.50)

In the Coral Cup, I ride for Eglantine Du Sueil Willie Mullins. She was the winner of the Mares’ Novices’ here last season and that’s a massive positive for her. She’s been running well at home and was fourth in the Ladbrokes Hurdle at Leopardstown last day over 2 miles. She’s very well and with a bit of luck in running, she should run a big race.”
