Galway is one of the busiest weeks of the Irish Racing calendar and sees a rare cross-code week-long festival of racing. This year may be slightly different with no buzz from the crowd and a changed schedule but the action on the track will remain as competitive as ever. BetVictor ambassador Rachael Blackmore runs us over her two rides at Galway today.
The Galway festival is the highlight of our Summer, it will have a slightly different feel to it this year but none the less I am still really looking forward to it, hopefully, we can have a bit of success during the busy week.
My first ride of the night is on Clifftop for Harry Rodgers, this will be my first time riding the four-year-old who hasn’t been given the best of draws. Harry is more than capable of getting a horse ready for the day, hopefully, he can improve from his run at Killarney last time out.
Eight And Bob
My other ride of the night is for Willie Mullins on Eight And Bob. I am delighted to get the ride, he was second twice at Galway last year including in this race. He was last seen at Leopardstown over Christmas and has been working well at home, whilst he doesn’t have the best of draws I am really excited about getting the leg up on him and hopefully, he can put in another big effort at and go one better than his two runs here last year.
