Tuesday brings us racing from Yarmouth, Exeter, Fairyhouse, Tipperary, Newcastle and Kempton. Sam Boswell has picked out his NAP of the day.
Today brings The Arkle into early focus with a very interesting two mile one furlong beginners chase at Tipperary. Captain Guinness is a horse I was interested in last season over hurdles. Sadly, he was brought down when going well in the Supreme. The yard are ticking over nicely and perhaps could have found an easier start to life but aren’t hiding and as a result we may get a bit of a price about this horse who is 12/1 at time of writing for The Arkle.
In opposition, he faces the likes of Soviet Pimpernel who was ninth in the Supreme, Willie Mullins’ horse Unexpected and the Fred Winter winner Aramax. I am keen on Captain Guinness, not only for today but also for the Arkle at an each way price and he is added to my ante post list.
