The Horse Racing show goes on, for how long is anyone’s guess. But let’s enjoy it while we can!  Three jumps meetings today and our Head Trader, Chris Poole, has a couple of confident Monday tips, all be it quite short prices.

Kelso (16.40)

Project Mars to win

Project Mars looks a standout on a fair card at Kelso. Since switching from Nick Gifford to Fergal O’Brien the gelding has put in two very solid runs winning cosily at Huntingdon last time off a mark of 95 despite running very free in the early stages.  The handicapper has raised him five pounds, which seems very fair and is still a mark 7lb lower than his highest mark. Brian Hughes takes over from Paddy Brennan who picked up an injury last week and I fully expect this to win for the champion jockey elect.

Dan Skelton would have been disappointed that his runners failed to trouble to judge at Cheltenham although brother Harry won the Queen Mother with a great ride on Politologue. The team have a couple of very good chances at Hereford (Loughan 14.20 and Alnadam 15.20) and we have put both together in an enhanced price BetBoost today.

Hereford (14.20)

Loughan to win

I think both have outstanding claims but will select Loughan as my second bet of the day. Owner Trevor Hemmings very much goes for long term chasing types and although well backed the selection found things happening too quickly on his debut on the all-weather surface at Lingfield, he was however well backed that day. However next time out on Heavy ground he ran a race full of promise behind Fugitives Drift, who franked the form on Saturday. Quite correctly on his hurdles bow, Loughan was not knocked about by Harry and with that run under his belt is expected to win today.

Whether you decide to follow my Monday tips today or not, whatever you are backing today I wish you the very best of luck.
