With Chepstow abandoned today, we have just the two afternoon and one evening meeting, but some interesting races still.

It seems strange to see Leopardstown race on a Monday but it’s a decent card as always and decent-sized fields with 95 runners in all.

Leopardstown (15.25)

Shakeytry to win

The first selection today Shakeytry looks very solid in the Beginners Chase. This lightly-raced eight-year-old trained by Edward O’Grady has looked an improved horse for fences and has put in four solid efforts this season.

Although the selection fell when holding every chance at Tramore three runs ago, his jumping has been in the main solid, which is a must at these tricky Leopardstown fences. The ground holds no fears and with the opposition having a very moderate look, we rate this the best bet on the card.

Wolverhampton (18.45)

Unforgiving Minute to win

Unforgiving Minute looks a standout on the evening card at Wolverhampton for the in-form team of Sean Curran and Adam Kirby. The nine-year-old is a model of consistency in Claiming company, winning 8 from 11 in this grade.

Although you won’t get rich at the shortish price, he looks very solid today and is fully expected to win with something to spare.
