A new week of racing and Sam Boswell is here once again to give us his top tips for the day.
Market Rasen (15:40)
The two mile national hunt flat race closes today’s card at Market Rasen. Ultimate Getaway is 6/4 and looks to be a good bet to make it back-to-back wins in bumpers under a 7lb penalty. Liam Harrison takes the ride and claims 7 off the horse which will be helpful. This horse just edged out a very nice horse of BetVictor ambassador Jamie Snowden’s earlier this month at Southwell and looks to have great claims to follow up, if he’s in the same mood today. The biggest threat looks to be from the newcomer Dens Delight of Olly Murphy. But, with the benefit of plenty of experience under his belt in the point-to-point field and with that win at Southwell, I’m confident that Ultimate Getaway can score back-to-back bumper wins.
In the 18:00 at Windsor, the 1m Maiden Stakes, there is a good little field with plenty of interesting horses going to post. The good to firm going, however, will suit some better than others and I’m really interested in Arabic Charm for Godolphin with Oisin Murphy booked to ride. The horse finished 4th on debut at Haydock Park. That was on soft ground, and he actually ran a really, really nice race but just looked to get a bit tired on the ground. I think today;’s quicker going should certainly be a benefit. At around 4/1, this looks a good bet to try and be the most likely horse to tackle the favourite, Endured. Endured has some nice form tied into his 2nd at Kempton, but it’s going to be Arabic Charm for me at 4/1.
