Down Royal (13.15)
My first ride is on Brave Way for Henry. She won her maiden hurdle nicely at Kilbeggan and seems to have been very well since.
It’s obviously a step up in grade, but we’re hopeful of a big run and that she’ll keep improving.
Down Royal (13.50)
Then I’m on to the grade 2 hurdle with Aspire Tower. Henry is well represented in this with Jason The Militant also running.
Aspire Tower has got loads of ability, and this will be his first run since Cheltenham. He was a very exciting horse last year, so I’m hoping to get things off to a good start here.
It’s obviously a competitive race with Gordon’s horse rated higher, but I’m looking forward to riding him and hope he can show his potential.
Down Royal (15.00)
Finally, I’m on January Jets in the beginners’ chase. All eyes will be on Envoi Allen in this. However, I’m really looking forward to getting January Jets started over fences. He’s a winner of a point-to-point and seems a natural chaser. We’re really happy with him at home. He’s been doing everything asked of him nicely and we are looking forward to a good run here.
Down Royal (15.35)
Then I am on to Email Rose, again for Henry. He should be well capable of winning off this mark. I’d like to think he’ll be competitive in a race like this, especially over 2 miles.
If he can put that poor run at Listowel run last day behind him, he should be there or thereabouts at the business end.
