We may have lost Navan on Saturday but it is still a busy weekend for BetVictor ambassador Rachael Blackmore who has four rides Sunday at Leopardstown.
“It was great to get a nice winner at Clonmel on Epson Du Houx for Gigginstown during the week. Hopefully we can get back in the winners enclosure on Sunday.
My day starts with Imperial View in a warm mares novice hurdle for Henry she won her maiden at Tipperary and comes here off a little break. She has been going well at home and I am looking forward to teaming up with her once again.
Next up for me is Tandem trained by Dermot Weld in the handicap hurdle over two miles. Rated 87 on the flat, he ran a nice race over Christmas and I am looking forward to riding him today and doesn’t look without a chance of being involved at the finish.
My third ride of the day is Niccolai for Henry in the rated novice chase. You can pop a line in her run the last day I wasn’t ever quite happy with her at Leopardstown, I think she will enjoy being back on softer ground and loves jumping fences. She was a winner at Clonmel for me back in December and hopefully she won’t be far away in this race.
My final ride is Poker Party who gave me a very memorable day when winning the Kerry National for me earlier in the season at Listowel. He holds an entry for the Aintree Grand National and has been going really well at home. I expect him to run a really good race here and, like all of Henry’s horses, he seems to be in fantastic form at home and showed well last time out when fourth in a good race at Leopardstown.”
Rachael will be sharing her views on her rides each day at the Cheltenham Festival with us, make sure you follow @BetVictorRacing to see all the latest news from our racing ambassadors and daily selections.”
