BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore rode the impressive Bob Olinger to victory at Navan on Friday. Henry De Bromhead’s mount is fancied to have a big season as he competes at the very top of the novice hurdle division.

On to Sunday, where Rachael has 5 rides at Thurles. Once again, the leading jockey has shared her thoughts with us.

Mormon

Thurles (12:30)

9/4

I start off with Mormon (12:30) in the beginners’ chase. He ran well when finishing 5th in the Troytown at Navan. That was his first run since February, so he should improve fitness wise from that. If he can run to that level again, he should be there or thereabouts.

Ask Cory

Thurles (13:00)

5/1

Next, I’m with Ask Cory (13:00) for Henry again in the Malony Cup. He’s been consistent, with his last run at Fairyhouse very encouraging when finishing 2nd. Also, he won at Killarney on good ground, so if he can continue this upward curve, he should be there at the business end.

Kapard

Thurles (14:00)

8/1

I’m on Kapard (14.00) in the mares’ novice hurdle. She followed up her maiden hurdle win with a victory at Wexford the last day. This is a very competitive race. Kapard is still learning but has bags of potential and if she improves again here, she could run a big race.

Sullane Hill

Thurles (14:30)

9/2

My penultimate ride of on Sullane Hill (14:30) in the handicap hurdle. He arrives here have won twice on the bounce at Thurles, so we couldn’t be happier with him going into this. It is my first time riding him so hopefully we can keep his good record at the track going.

Allbarone

Thurles (15:00)

Finally, I’m on Allbarone (15:00) for Henry in the novice hurdle. He followed up on his good 2nd at Wexford to go one better the last day at Limerick. He definitely enjoys the softer ground and with further rain scheduled at Thurles, we’re hoping he’ll be in the mix-up at the finish.
