After a fantastic weekend, including a four-timer at Naas and a good winner on an old friend at Navan, BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore heads to Clonmel looking to add a brace of winners, after being awarded the prestigious HRI Hero award.
Upping The Anti
Clonmel 12:45
My first ride at Clonmel comes on Upping The Anti in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle, he seems to be improving a little bit with each run. Fingers crossed he can find a bit more again today; he is a horse that is learning all the time hopefully he can take another step forward here.
Scarlet And Dove
Clonmel 13:55
My other ride on the card comes on Scarlet And Dove for the in-form Joseph O’Brien team. She was a very good second the last day at Punchestown, she will have to get the better of the Kim Muir winner Mount Ida who is rated higher, but I am really looking forward to seeing how we go here.
It was a great thrill to ride four winners on Saturday, Captain Guinness had an up and down season last year, but he is a very nice horse, and it is great to get him back to winning ways for his owner Declan Landy who is local to Naas.

The two maiden hurdles were good races, Eric Bloodaxe is a lovely big horse who rides like a real chaser, he couldn’t have done any more and is a very exciting type for the future. Uhtred’s race by comparison was a little messy and I had to go on a bit earlier than planned, with a lead I think you will see a better effort from him in time when he gets in better company. Both are fantastic horses and have good futures ahead.
Mr Incredible race had a fair bit of trouble with things luckily falling our way. That said he is a lovely horse who hadn’t run for a while so should improve for that effort and is one to keep an eye on going forward.
Sunday it was great to land another win on Notebook, he is a horse I LOVE riding and one of the best I’ve ridden over a fence. He has given me some great days and fingers crossed we can have a few more together this season.
Notebook puts in some fantastic leaps to give Rachael Blackmore yet another winner this weekend 👏👏👏pic.twitter.com/iov6UXl6Bq

Finally, it’s a massive honour to be awarded the HRI Hero award, it’s been won by some incredibly special people in the past and it is a real privilege to be a recipient of this year’s award. The highs of 2021 have been amazing, and I am very hopeful I can have plenty more great days going into 2022.
