Looking To Add To The Winners Tally At Leopardstown
3 min read
BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore is looking to add to her tally of winners on the final day of the Christmas Festival at Leopardstown – she’s kindly taken time out to run the rule over her five runners on Sunday.
Sunday’s Rides At Leopardstown
Cobbler’s Way was 2nd in Navan the last day and we’re expecting him to put up a big run in the 12:45 Maiden Hurdle. The Big Getaway is probably the top horse in the field but I’m expecting my lad to run a big race.
In the 13:20 Mares Hurdle I’ve got Eglantine Du Seuil for Willie Mullins. I was 3rd the last day with her behind Stormy Ireland who we gave weight to that day, and she should be competitive again today.
Then we’re on to one of Henry’s very exciting horses, Minella Indo in the 13:55 Grade 1 Novice Chase. He ran really well behind Laurina at Gowran the last day over an inadequate trip and he should improve on that seasonal reappearance. We’re back here over 3 miles today and I’m very much looking forward to riding him.
I’ve got Petit Mouchoir in the Grade 1 Matheson Hurdle (14:30). He ran a blinder the last day finishing 2nd at Punchestown, so if he can produce another run like that then he’ll definitely be there or thereabouts. He’s a very genuine horse who always runs his race so we’re hopeful he can put up a good show.
My last ride is Cavalry Master in the 2½ mile Handicap Hurdle (15:05). He won the last day in Punchestown, he seems to have improved a lot from his first run and if he can improve again then he should be in the shake-up.
Odds
Cobbler’s Way (12.45)
Eglantine Du Seuil (13.20)
Minella Indo (13.55)
Petit Mouchoir (14.30)
Cavalry Master (15.05)
Thanks to Rachael for her contributions this week and best of luck to all on Sunday.
