It’s day two at Aintree horse racing and BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore is here to preview her rides ahead of the action.

It was a mixed day yesterday, but fantastic to close it with a winner on Me Too Please in the mares bumper. She is a lovely mare who will give her connections plenty to look forward to.

Onto today where I have three rides on the card.

Aintree (3.25)

I start off in the Grade One Aintree Marsh Chase with Notebook (3.25) for Henry.

He seems to have come out of Cheltenham well and I think the step up in trip here should suit him.  This will be his first time over 2m3f, however, he’s a more relaxed horse now compared to his early days, so hopefully it’ll help him put in a big performance.

Like I said, the extra three furlongs should suit, so we’re ready to go and I’m really looking forward to the ride.

Aintree (4.05)

My second ride of the day is on Visioman (4.05) in the Topham Chase, again for Henry. He jumps well and has really progressed since going over fences. As usual, this looks a competitive race, but we couldn’t be happier with Visioman hopefully will take to these fences and go well again.

Cape Gentleman

Aintree (4:40)

Finally, on day two, I am on Cape Gentleman (4:40) for Emmet Mullins in the Grade One Grand Sefton Novices’ Hurdle. He’s only run the once when going left-handed and he did hang a bit that day so we’re hoping that won’t be a problem here.

That said, Emmet does a tremendous job with him, and has an excellent record when running horses in Britain. He’s a fantastic ride to pick up and I’m really looking forward to it, so let’s hope he can run a big race.
