Journey With Me
Leopardstown - 12:35
We get started with Journey With Me in the maiden hurdle over two miles four. He was a very impressive winner of a point-to-point bumper at Gowran last March. That was the same bumper that Bob Olinger won on his first rules start. He is a very nice horse who has been doing everything right at home, I am really looking forward to getting him on the racecourse here, I think he is a horse who has a very big future ahead of him.

Next up is Tellmesomethinggirl in the grade three, she has come on plenty for her seasonal return last month at Punchestown and has been going nicely at home. The race itself looks very competitive and whilst we must give weight to everything in the field, I am looking forward to having another spin on her here.

My third ride of the day is in the three-mile novice chase on Mr Incredible. Last time out at Newbury he just didn’t get into any kind of rhythm when facing Ahoy Senor, in fairness that was a good race, hopefully we can get his back to how he ran at Naas. We do have the bonus of more runners here which I think will be a big positive for his chances providing we can get him into a good jumping rhythm.

The Matheson Hurdle follows where I am on Saint Roi, a lovely ride to pick up in a good race. He was a very good winner of the County Hurdle at the Festival back in 2020 before picking up a grade three at Tipperary, his form just tapered off after that, but he remains a very classy horse and hopefully can go well here.

My last ride on the card comes on the five-year-old Clifton Warrior in the Novice Handicap Hurdle. He won nicely on his debut for Henry at Thurles in a maiden by eight lengths. He has been going nicely at home since that win and hopefully he can be involved in the finish.
