Mr Incredible

12:40 Newbury

It’s great to be heading over to Newbury off the back of A Plus Tard’s win last weekend at Haydock, my first ride today comes on Mr Incredible. He has just the three opponents here, he did it well at Naas when winning last time out in what turned out to be a bit of a messy race. Ahoy Senor for Lucinda Russell looks an exciting horse to be taking on with his form over hurdles behind Bravemansgame last season. Fingers crossed we can go well and get another good run from Mr Incredible here.

Somptueux

13:15 Newbury

My second ride on the card is Somptueux in the handicap chase named after the great Sir Peter O’Sullevan. At Galway, Somptueux didn’t seem to travel or jump at all and just never really got into any sort of rhythm. He seems well at home and hopefully, we can see a much-improved effort here in a competitive race.

Eklat De Rire

15:00 Newbury

7/2

My final ride on Saturday comes in the big race and I am on Eklat De Rire. He was very good at Wexford when winning on his seasonal return. He seems to be in great form at home and is a horse who has a huge amount of potential. It looks to be a very strong renewal as you always tend to get with this race but hopefully, Eklat De Rire can step up and put in a big effort.
