The Punchestown Festival is one of the final highlights of the national hunt season, BetVictor ambassador Rachael Blackmore looks ahead to day two and takes us through her three rides.
Largy Debut
16:45 Punchestown
My first ride of the day comes on Largy Debut, he has been very disappointing since winning impressively at Cork back in December from Kilcruit. He did improve on recent runs with a fourth at Fairyhouse in a Grade 2 last time out. We were much happier after that effort and hopefully we can keep him on the right track. He runs in a first-time tongue tie which may just help him as well.
Journey With Me
17:20 Punchestown
Journey With Me was unfortunate to fall at the last at Cheltenham, he was set for some place money before just slipping on the landing side. He seems none the worse for that and has been going well at home. This looks an exciting race with plenty of depth to the field which includes the winner and the second from the Albert Bartlett. Hopefully, he can put up a good performance up in trip.
Cavalary Master
19:05 Punchestown
My final ride of the day is Cavalry Master in the competitive handicap chase. He should enjoy this nicer ground and seems well at home. Fingers crossed he can go and put up a good preference.
