It’s day two at the horse racing Punchestown Festival and BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore has shared her thoughts ahead of her four rides, which includes Cheltenham Festival winner, Telmesomethinggirl.
I start the day on Heather Rocco (4.15) in the Irish EBF Auction Hurdle Series Final which is fantastically backed by Connolly’s Red Mills throughout the season.
He arrives here in good form having won well at Limerick the last day. This will be competitive, however, he comes into this the highest rated in the race, so I couldn’t be happier with my ride and I’m really looking forward to it.
Next up, I partner Decimation (4.50) in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle. He ran extremely well when just beaten by a neck to Ashdale Bob the last day at Fairyhouse.
He’s progressing all the time and seems very well at home, so we’re hoping he can run a big race here.
Then we’re onto Telmesomethinggirl (5.20) in the Grade One 3miles Irish Mirror Novice Hurdle.
She was brilliant at Cheltenham, settling and relaxing into the race very well. If she can do that again, the extra trip should be no problem for her.
She finished well, and of all my rides at Cheltenham, she was one of the hardest to pull up after the finish line.
Henry has always thought a lot of her, so we’re really looking forward to seeing what she can do here over the 3miles, and hopefully, she runs well again.
Finally, on day two, I partner Tiger Voice (7.00). Sneaking in here at the bottom end of the weights, he’s been in great form at home and comes into this after running well the last day, finishing third.
With a light weight on his back, there’s every chance he could run a big race and not be too far way.
