Rachael Blackmore’s Three Thursday Rides At Clonmel

Fresh from an excellent win on the impressive Honeysuckle on Tuesday, BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore has plenty to look forward to with three exciting rides at Clonmel today.

We caught up with the rider to hear her thoughts ahead of all the action.

First up, I am aboard Arahecan in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle. He’s been off the track for some time, so will definitely improve from whatever he does here.

He is going well at home and fingers crossed he can put his best foot forward to set us up going forward this season.

I am really looking forward to partnering Monalee in the Clonmel Oil Chase. It goes without saying that we’re all excited to see Douvan back on the track after such a long time off. However, Monalee is fit and well at home, and if he carries that on to the racecourse, we’re confident of a good run.

The ground looks to be in his favour, as well as the trip, so we feel we are going there with every chance.

I take the ride on Kupatana in the Irish EBF Mares Chase in my final ride of the day. I partnered her last time out when she was 4th at Wexford at the end of October and she should benefit from that, given that it was her first start back after a break.

The step back in trip should suit her better here and we’re hopeful she gives a better account of herself in this one.
