We had a brilliant day yesterday with 6/1 & 3/1 winners from both selections. Anyone who took the suggested 25/1 on Shiskin for the Supreme before he ran at Newbury, you are sitting pretty. 5/2 market leader for the opening race of the Cheltenham Festival now with ourselves after a facial win at Newbury yesterday.
Another Tuco Each Way
Kempton (14.55)
The two-mile five handicap hurdle at Kempton offers a nice shape to the race for each-way players at the Sudbury venue today.
Imperial Elysian has opened as market leader for Fergal O’Brien and only has a four-pound rise to contend with for winning at Huntingdon last month. He is 4/1 and it could pay dividends to take a chance with a handicap debutant Another Tuco at 9/1.
He arrives here having had three runs in maidens, the most recent of which showed some potential in a decent field at Newbury.
A Point to Point winner, he has the benefit of being ridden by Gavin Sheehan who is flying at the moment riding good horses for a number of trainers. Warren Greatrex has also had a decent time of things recently, picking up a couple of winners already this month.
Another Tuco up in trip today can add to both parties’ recent good spell.
Getabay to win
Bangor-on-Dee (16.50)
Gordon Elliott sends Getabay to the closing Bumper at Bangor. The five-year-old has had two starts to date. Having finished sixth on debut, he took another step forward with a fair second at Limerick over Christmas, losing out to Lieutenant Commander who was seen finishing third in a very hot bumper last weekend at the Dublin Racing Festival.
A replication of his run last time, here today, should be enough to gain his first win for connections.
