Friday’s racing offers slim pickings for jumps fans with the loss of a good card at Sandown. Ffos Las is the only port of call for them, whilst we have a feast of all-weather action thanks to cards at Chelmsford, Wolverhampton and Dundalk in Ireland.
Legends Ryde to win
Ffos Las (14.15)
Just the one tip for today’s action as we head towards the Cheltenham Festival. It was great to see BetVictor ambassador Rachael Blackmore score on our selection yesterday, and today we are going to be looking at a fellow ambassador’s horse.
Jamie Snowden takes his mare Legends Ryde to deepest Wales in the opening race at Ffos Las. He looks to have found a cracking chance for her to score over hurdles here.
Martha Brae of Warren Greatrex was initially the market favourite but Snowdon’s horse does get a handy pull at the weights with her here. The going conditions will also suit the five-year-old by Midnight Legend who was a fair second last time out on heavy ground. Don’t forget you can read Jamie’s view on her and his other upcoming runners here.
BetVictor Cheltenham Specials
With jumps action so limited today, it felt an ideal time to revisit our specials ahead of the Festival.
Rachael Blackmore to be leading jockey at the meeting is currently a market best 6/1 with us. We are really proud to work with Rachael as a BetVictor ambassador. Last year, she scored two winners at the Cheltenham Festival and this year, she goes in with several live chances.
The tight nature of the meeting saw Nico De Boinville land it with three winners last year. Four has been the magic number in recent years with the exception of Ruby Walsh delivering a stunning seven in 2016. At a market-leading 6/1, she represents a great value bet for the week.
