Éclair On The Line – Each Way
With slim pickings tomorrow, it was challenging to try and find some value. Paul Nicholls has a couple of interesting runners at Catterick tomorrow but both look set to be very slim prices. The handicap that closes the card, however, does catch the eye.
The Composer arrives having won on his first handicap start and looked at home over the trip. The one question mark I would have is the going today is likely to be much more testing than when winning at Huntingdon last time out.
Mambo, next in the betting, arrives in good form but has not been tested on heavy ground. With these two out the frame, we can try to find something with a bit of an each-way price.
Éclair On The Line is a somewhat lightly-raced six-year-old who has won a point to point over three miles. Fifth last time out at Doncaster, in a slightly warmer race today, I think with a two-point drop and the services of the in-form Aidan Coleman, Charlie Longstone can gain another winner and be rewarded for a long journey up north.
