Tuesday offers us action over jumps at Doncaster and Fairyhouse, whilst we also have Chelmsford hosting an AW card.
The Big Bite
Doncaster (14.10)
We go to Doncaster for a Nicky Henderson trained runner in the 14.10 which is a Beginner’s Chase.
Caribbean Boy has been given plenty of time since he was last seen coming second in a listed hurdle at Auteuil. The six-year-old is in good hands, with questions over plenty of these he could prove the answer to an intriguing contest.
Of the others in the race, The Big Bite for Tom George found his Kempton chase debut a bit of a struggle. That looked a warmer contest than this and he may well be a different proposition in calmer waters today. He may offer those seeking a bigger priced option to Caribbean Boy a spot of value.
Ashdale Bob
Fairyhouse (15.25)
Whilst we lost Punchestown on Monday, Irish jumps racing heads to Fairyhouse on Tuesday and the 15.25 looks like an intriguing contest with a stand out candidate for punters in Ashdale Bob.
Robbie Power has been enjoying a fantastic season and retains the ride on Jessica Harrington’s novice. The five-year-old was last seen finishing a good third at Naas over a slightly shorter trip.
Going up in trip only looks to be increasing his chances of breaking his maiden. It is also worth noting the strength of the form Ashdale Bob brings to this race with the first, second and fourth of his last race – where he finished third – all going on to win next time out.
