Wednesday Racing Tips

You may recognise him from the live racing channels on TV, where he’s represented us the length and breadth of the country at the best tracks in the sport. BetVictor brand ambassador and horse racing expert Sam Boswell is here to lend you his insight for a variety of upcoming meetings, and deliver a selection of his best tips, in his own exclusive column.
Wednesday racing is a fairly quiet affair with just action at Wolverhampton on the All-Weather and a Jumps card at Leicester surviving.
The conditions look set to be better over the weekend where we have significant action both sides of the Irish Sea.
Losing Lingfield yesterday saw us have just the one tip run, Belfast Banter was rather disappointing in what looked a weak maiden – well done if you were on the huge-priced winner Department Of War who returned at an SP of 100/1.

Leicester (15.45): Celtic Rising
Across the two cards, just one horse peaked my interest from a tipping perspective. This eight runner race looks ideal for an each-way bet.
Celtic Rising is having his first start in the UK, having been moved by connections from Ireland to the care of Tom George. This is not a new tactic from the owner but looks like this move could pay dividends for the lightly raced eight-year-old.
His jumping will need to have improved from his two previous chase starts in Ireland but he was a Point-to-Point winner in his younger days. He arrives after a year off with the benefit of a wind op and a race of this nature should be well within his potential as a chaser.
