We lost Punchestown yesterday and Hereford looks in danger of going today. That would leave us with just Southwell and Kempton on the All-Weather to keep us going.
We have a tip from each venue coming up for you to follow. We need to have a quick word on yesterday’s action in Liverpool, where the Grand National weights were announced. We had huge speculation over what mark Tiger Roll would be landed with by the UK Handicapper once he had framed the race.
The duel winner was given 170 as he aims to go for a historic three in a row. We make him 5/1 to do just that you can see our full ante-post market right here.
Charlie D to win
This long-distance handicap has just the five runners and the betting has it looking like a match between the course and distance winner Tynecastle Park, who was second last time out, and the 13/8 shot Charlie D for Tom Dascombe, who is turned out quickly from his reappearance on Monday.
We will be with Charlie D today; he has been competitive off this mark previously and providing he takes to Southwell (this is his first run at the track), a bold showing can be expected having got that first run under his belt earlier in the week at Wolverhampton.
Outlane Each Way
Eleven go to post in this handicap and the betting has the race looking fairly open. I am keen to take a chance on Outlane who is having his first start for Eve Johnson Houghton having been off the track for over five hundred days.
Formerly with Luca Cumani, the five-year-old by Camelot showed enough on grass to suggest a race of this nature is within her. The yard’s horses have been running to form in recent days and Outlane could just be a nice each-way bet in an open handicap here at Kempton.
