Sam Boswell is back with his picks ahead of a busy day of racing and they come from Bangor today.
Mercian Prince
Bangor (15.15)
Mercian Prince is better known for his chase efforts for in-form trainer Amy Murphy who can score a win over hurdles with this nine-year-old today. She had a fantastic win earlier in the week in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen with Really Super.
This horse, who is better known for his chasing exploits, can really exploit a weak Novice Hurdle here at Bangor today. This is his first run since a further wind operation which may aid him in getting a little bit more out of the horse by Midnight Legend.
It will be fascinating to see where he goes next. Previously a winner on good ground and these conditions look ideal for him to notch his first win over hurdles.
Parody
Bangor (17.20)
My other tip arrives in the last at Bangor in the shape of Parody for Paul Nicholls and ridden by Harry Cobden.
Paul Nicholls looks to have already started the return to jumps with some nice results, picking up winners with his usual gusto. Harry Cobden is another top jockey in the saddle and looks set to have a great season with Paul once again.
Parody, the six-year-old, heads the betting in this two-mile seven-furlong Handicap Hurdle Class four event. Coming off the back of winning a couple of races at Newton Abbot by presenting should really appreciate this ground judging by the form book and his previous efforts.
I think he can notch another win for the champion trainer here.
