It’s the final day of the Galway Festival and Sam Boswell, for one, has enjoyed the week of racing.
Bigbadandbeautiful
Galway (17:20)
I’m looking forward to the 17:20, the 1m 6f 4-year-old and up race. There’s just the six runners here, but some interesting horses nonetheless. Buildmeupbuttercup was busy earlier in the week when seen finishing fifth in the Galway Hurdle behind stablemate, and worthy winner, Aramon. She is an interesting runner in this field, however, it is going to be Bigbadandbeautiful of Gordon Elliot that I am going to take the favourite on with.
I just help but feel this is a very quick turnaround from such a competitive race for the Willie Mullins favourite, ridden by Kevin Manning.
I think Bigbadandbeautiful, who has been a successful bumper horse in time, should appreciate the ease underfoot and she won a good maiden at Roscommon, over a shorter trip, last time out. She has plenty on ratings to trouble the favourite. I just think she looks a bit more solid given the exertions that Buildmeupbuttercup would have had earlier in the week. I’m backing Gordon Elliot to claim another winner at Galway
