As the Flat season rolls into mid-July, BetVictor ambassador Nicola Currie is as busy as ever. She previews her four rides at Chepstow for us.
I get started with Caribbean Spice for Brian Meehan who runs in the six-furlong novice. He showed speed last time out over seven at the same track and displayed some great improvement from his first run. Hopefully he can come on again and will appreciate the drop back in trip to be involved at the finish.
My next ride is Glamorous Crescent for Christopher Mason. She is a filly I rode last time out over one mile at Windsor and she showed a high cruising speed that day and I feel just lacked a little confidence in the second half of the race. She drops back in trip slightly to seven which her win was ran over and happened to also be at Chepstow.
My third ride of the day is Penny Poet for Neil Mulholland and she runs in the 8pm over one mile four furlongs. I rode her last time out at Wolverhampton and felt she just tired. I think she should have come on plenty from that run plus she also gets the benefit of cheekpieces being reapplied today.
My final ride of the night is Party Potential for trainer Alan King. The horse runs over the one mile four furlong trip for only the second time and I think that he looks like he will suit it. He has the benefit of a run already under his belt this season having finished sixth at Kempton back in June.
