It was great to see National Hunt Racing return in the UK yesterday. Today, we are going flat mad with five cards across the UK and Ireland. Just a quick reminder ahead of the weekend’s biggest race, the Derby at Epsom, we are paying FOUR places each way.
Yesterday, I was left scratching my head a little with the run from the tip Russian Diamond turning in. I thought we would be landing another winner. As it stands, I think all three involved at the finish are nice horses and expect to see plenty from them as the Summer jumps season moves on.

Dartington
Bath (16.15)
Just the one selection again today as we head west to Bath for this Class Four handicap. This features eight fairly unexposed three-year-olds with some stepping into handicap company for the first time. Two at the bottom of the weights interest me.
Motamayiz is the likely favourite for Rodger Varian having won at the track last time out. He returns to action just eight days after that win and is technically three pounds well in. That said, I am prepared to take on the favourite with Dartington who has his first experience on turf today. He has finished in front of the favourite previously on the all-weather when he won a class 6 handicap. Today, I think he can finish in front again and upset the market at a nice price for trainer Marcus Tregoning.
