Today’s Racing: Enhanced Double, Market Movers & Extra Place Races

What a day of racing we have in store today. There’s the long awaited 2000 Guineas from Newmarket, as well as the final day of what has been a fantastic festival at Punchestown. We’ve got plenty to kick off the weekend’s racing in style.

Bet Boost

Sergei Prokofiev (2.20) landed a listed win at Navan 5 weeks ago. He returns to the scene of his Cornwallis success last autumn today and is expected to beat a decent field at Newmarket today with a 15/8 price tag.

Coronet (2.55) at the same price is a confident selection for Charlie this afternoon. The mare is going to have to beat Defoe, who won this race 12 months ago. But after Defoe disappointed on his reappearance at Newbury, and considering conditions, it is Coronet who gets the nod.
