It was great to get a winner over the jumps on Sunday at Bangor. Today, I’ve got a couple of tips from Southwell and Bath.
The Mares Novice Hurdle is an interesting little contest with a variety of types in the race. I’m willing to take a chance on Golden Emblem.
She’s not been seen for over 480 days, but on her only start, she finished a good 3rd, with the two in front of her going on to run pretty well since. By presenting, she should appreciate the better ground.
Neil Mulholland being prepared to give her such a significant period of time off the track means she must be showing something. A race of this nature could well be within her grasp and Sam Twiston-Davies is a positive jockey booking.
He’s been having a good spell of things since returning, including a win at Bangor on Sunday for Dr. Richard Newland and I’m feeling confident for another positive showing from him here.
Fresh from his first Grade 1 win at the weekend, Kieren Fallon can notch another winner at Bath in the Primrose Hill Median Auction Stakes.
This small 4-runner race looks to be at the mercy of the two tight in the betting – Fallon’s ride Tenfold and Aquascape for Harry Dunlop. Tenfold was 2nd last time out for Martyn Meade.
This 3-year-old ran in a small-field event at Yarmouth, finishing behind a well-handicapped horse of Sir Mark Prescott’s. Back in maiden company today, I feel that Tenfold has a great chance to go one better and beat off the likely market rival Aquascape here at Bath on quick ground.
