After a couple of near misses at Leicester yesterday for Nicola Currie, the BetVictor brand ambassador gives us her thoughts on two rides at Haydock for the BetVictor-sponsored card.
Looktothelight
Haydock (13:25)
I am looking forward to heading north today to ride at Haydock on the BetVictor-sponsored card. My first ride comes in the one mile two furlong handicap (13:25). Looktothelight for Jamie Osborne makes his handicap debut and goes up in trip. I think from what he has shown us at home, he will appreciate the step up. The ground is good to firm at the moment, but with rain forecast, I feel that any falls will be a help to him rather than a hindrance, as he showed us that he copes with Southwell’s surface in January.
Velocity
Haydock (15:25)
My second ride on the card is Velocity, who has her first outing in the six furlong Fillies Novice Median Auction Stakes. She’s a half-sister to the well known Lady Prancealot who was sharp enough in her early career to win over a sprint trip and then went on to stay over longer trips. The start at six should suit well and we’ve been pleased with her work at home.
