The Flat season has drawn to an end and the National Hunt season is about to ramp up once again. Sam Boswell has looked at some of the star horses who could go undefeated this season.
Fans and the media love a champion who wins not only in style but can maintain an unbeaten record for the season. We have priced three horses to go unbeaten for the full length of the UK Jumps season.
The only stipulation is they have to run at least three times before Sandown at the end of April.
You can check out the horses we have priced here.
Let’s check out three of the more likely contenders.
Honeysuckle
The classy mare showed she could cut it at the very top last season, claiming the Champion Hurdle under BetVictor Brand Ambassador, Rachael Blackmore.
Boasting 13 wins from 13 starts, she’ll likely return in the Hatton’s Grace before the Irish Champion Hurdle. After that, it’s onto Cheltenham to defend her crown at Prestbury Park.
6/1 to go unbeaten.

Shishkin to go unbeaten
Nicky Henderson is no stranger to a brilliant two-mile chaser and there’s every chance Shishkin can follow the likes of Altior and Sprinter Sacre.
Expected to return to action after having a wind op, he should start his life in open company over fences in December.
He stands unbeaten since unseating over hurdles in his younger days at Newbury.
Although it’s likely he’ll be lightly campaigned, he should make the required three runs before the season ends.
7/2 to go unbeaten
He did it!! SHISHKIN (Sholokhov) lands the Gr1 Arkle Novices Chase to remain unbeaten over fences 🏆 Congratulations to @NdeBoinville @sevenbarrows & Mrs Donnelly 👏🏼 Bred by Clive Bennett with his late wife Eileen, SHISHKIN was raised at Rathbarry Stud 🌟

Bob Olinger
Only beaten by Ferny Hollow, the Ballymore winner blew everyone else away over hurdles last season. He looks like the type who will excel over a fence.
The 8/1 to go unbeaten for the season could be generous when you consider he is 3/1 to win the Marsh Chase, which within the timeframe of the bet, is likely to be his toughest test.
At the prices on offer, Bob Olinger is the standout one to me.
Things just keep getting better for @rachaelblackmor and @HenrydeBromhead! 🙌
