BetVictor Brand Ambassador Rachael Blackmore has six rides booked for the St. Stephen’s Day card at Leopardstown on Thursday, and she’s given us a run through of her chances on all six.

Leopardstown, Thursday

Fusain is a really nice horse who improved a lot on his first run, and we’re expecting him to put up a good show in the Maiden Hurdle at 12:10. We think a lot of him at home and all seems well after the last day, so I’m looking forward to it and hopefully he can start the day off on a good note.

Eagle Moon will want to improve a good bit from his 4th place at Gowran Park last day but Henry’s horses have been improving a lot from their first run. If he does that he definitely should be in the shake up in the 12:40.

at Leopardstown

Aspire Tower was very impressive the last day winning by 13 lengths at Punchestown. He ran quite free early on and quickened away from them in good fashion. We don’t really know what we have yet so he’s very exciting and the horse that was 3rd to him last day has come out and won since. I’m really looking forward to riding him in the 1:10 Juvenile Hurdle and it looks like it’s going to be a good race.

I’m on Email Rose in the Novice Handicap Hurdle at 1:45. To be honest he’s been a little bit disappointing up to now but he seems to be going very well at home and he should be able to be competitive in this.

Big Race For Notebook

I’m very much looking forward to riding Notebook in the 2:20 Novice Chase which looks like the race of the day. We’re facing Laurina who was flawless in beating Minella Indo last day at Gowran, and Fakir D’oudairies who looked very impressive upside Samcro.

at Leopardstown

It’s all about jumping at Leopardstown and that seems to be one of Notebook’s biggest attributes so I feel like he’s really going to enjoy it there. We haven’t had to ask him too many questions in his two chase runs which he’s won both. He’s a very exciting horse, a very enjoyable horse to ride and it’s going to be a great race.

Trainwreck had a nice run in Navan finishing 4th behind Fakir D’oudairies and I’m looking forward to riding him in the 2:55 Handicap Chase. He was a shade disappointing the last day behind Dunvegan, but going back to his Navan run he should be well capable of putting up a good show. He’s going well at home. I definitely feel like he has a race like this in him at some stage and hopefully it’s on St Stephen’s Day.

Ellie Mac is one to keep an eye on for Henry in this race as well. She likes Leopardstown and always runs well there.”
